Changes in version 3.5
The following changes were made in version 3.5 of the shaders.
Please note that this list may be incomplete:
- The base and physics shaders now use the light lists specified in the
geometry instance for illumination
if no lights are passed as shader parameters, and/or the illumination mode is
set accordingly. (Instance light lists are introduced in version 3.5 of mental
ray in order to simplify the setup of illumination.)
- The absorbtion in the mib_dielectric shader has been corrected. Formerly, it incorrectly took the distance to the camera
instead of the distance traveled through the material into account.
This may result in a quite different appearence of the absorbtion.
